Student Bursaries

Helping our Community Learn

The Port Carling Lions Club Student Bursaries are awarded to provide financial assistance to those pursuing post secondary education. The bursary recipients are chosen based on need, and on community involvement of those applying, and are intended for those who reside (while not in school) in the Port Carling and Bala areas. These bursaries can be up to $1,000. We welcome those of any age, who are pursuing post secondary studies either full or part time, and who are residents in the Port Carling or Bala community, to apply for this bursary. The 2025 deadline for applying was December 21st, 2025, and decisions were sent out by January 9th, 2026. For those interested in applying for the 2026/2027 school year, watch for information in November of 2026 for deadlines on applying.

Congratulations to the 2025/2026 School Year Bursary Recipients.
We are proud of you for putting energy into growth and learning for your future, and we’re happy to play a small role in helping out.
